There have been a lot of web based tools that emulate features we’ve used in the off-the-shelf application, Inspiration. Many of us in education started electronic concept-maps using this veteran application. Well the people at Inspiration have now published a beta version of their web based Inspiration application titled, MyWebspiration.  This version shares the same features as the standalone version of Inspiration with the advantage of being able to easily share concept maps with others. Check it out while it is still in beta…for now, there is no cost ;-)

SlideRocket is a web based application that allows you to create PowerPoint or Keynote like presentations just using your web browser. The transitions and effects rival those in off-the-shelf applications. Web based applications allow students to access started projects on any computer that has Internet access. A great plus for students who may need extra time finishing presentations outside of their normal class period.

A nifty little tool, similar to ScrapBlog, but really appealing to students…you can tell, by the amount of content being published by tweens on the main Glogster site ;-)

They are continuing to make the tool more appealing for educators, giving you the ability to mark your media presentations as private, but still allowing you to embed them into your Moode, blog, or web site.
